Jerry D’s Success Story is an example of how someone overcame a classic case of ‘genetics’ by using P90X. We all have genetics that make up who we are. However, Jerry here, overcame some odds and mindset that he was limited by genetics and got rid of his gut and into the best shape of his life. He quickly learned what intensity was and how it stimulated his body to change. Jerry says that ‘never in a million years did I think I would push myself as hard as I did’. He describes his transformation after completing P90X as if he just climbed a mountain and saw the world for the first time.

Foreshadowing 2011, I thought I would look into the future while I made my New Year Resolutions. The thing is, I hadn’t made any resolutions until sometime today after I read a post by Chris Brogan. You can read about my resolutions on my personal blog. I chose a few words to focus on as my keywords instead of ‘resolutions’. Those Keywords are ACTION, VALUE and PROGRESS.

Audiobooks are a great way to help with Personal Development. Most of us, if we drive, drive more than 15 minutes one way. For the past few years, I’ve enjoyed listening to audio books on tape, CD and now my iPod/iPhone. Audio books are a great way to hear books being read (sometimes by the authors themselves and sometimes by other narrators) while you drive. This is a great way to use Time Management and consume more books.

P90X is a tough program. I couldn’t do everything Tony or the people in the videos were doing. I couldn’t do all the reps, but I did some. The next time around I pushed to ‘do one more’ or a ‘few more than the lest time’. This is progress. Make it a game of small successes.

I got on Shakeology back in November 2010 to help supplement my P90X workouts and I’m glad I did. I have trouble eating properly as often I am on the go. It seems like its nearly impossible to eat well at the Hospital. I know of all places, a hospital is a difficult place to eat well, especially when the day is packed full of patients to treat. I know, I should plan better and take more nutritious meals with me and it would probably be cheaper too. This is not always possible for me (probably another excuse) but this makes it much easier to just throw a packet or two into my back with a shaker cup and be on my way. I am learning to eat better and supplement my body as I work on transforming my body from the fat ass I was to my goal of being physically fit.

As the impending snow storm arrives here in Southeastern Pennsylvania, I was going through my Google Reader and catching up on some blogs that I follow. I came across a post by Chris Brogan over at MyEscapeVelocity.com entitled, How Do You Manage Time? Chris recorded a video and illustrated an example of how he breaks up a 6 hour block of time during a typical day to remain productive.

Below is a post from a friend of mine, Brandice. I’ve followed Brandice’s transformation over the past year when she started the C25K program. Since then, she has run several 5K Races that I am aware of and has consistently shown progress and weight loss over the past year. I am really proud of her and its clear that Brandice has enjoyed success as you will read about and see below. Congrats Brandice!

One of the things that spoke loudly about the program is that its tough. You could see that the participants were struggling with it and could were able to convey that they had a great workout. The muscle confusion is indeed one of the keys to this program. I know it is for me. Each and every workout is a challenge. Its definitely not a spring walk!

Sunday December 19, 2010 I was watching the Philadelphia Eagles play the New York Giants football game. The Giants seemingly had the game in hand as they were up by three (3) touchdowns at the Half. The Giants were handing the Eagles a Beating. Nothing seemed to be going the Eagles way.
